NEWS UPDATE: 24 June 2008

Well, we went to Wichita and had ourselves a little screening: Gracie Rose, plus the first "Karl & Bernie" short and the 10th anniversary screening of My Day In The Barrel. Good turnout, great crowd, excellent response. We got a nice write-up in the Eagle, a mention from our buddy Jim Erickson at KMUW, and lots of love from the Orpheum. It was a good night.

So what's next, you ask? Well, we made enough to cover our promotional costs for the screening, with a little left over to enter some film festivals. So that's what we'll do. We haven't heard back yet from our second wave of smaller film festivals (we figure this is the kind of movie that will do better in lesser-known, regional-type fests), but we're gonna gear up to enter a few more of those, and see how we do from there.

I did state one absolutely false thing onstage at the Orpheum Saturday, though I didn't realize it was at the time. We did a run of Gracie DVDs for sale that night, with the understanding that they were for that night only. You see, since we're still hoping for some sort of (at the very least) home video distribution at some point, I didn't want to make the movie readily available online through IndieFlix the way we have with our other flicks. However, we still had some discs left at the end of the night, and I don't know what the hell to do with them now. So, while supplies last, we'll be selling off the rest of our stock of Gracie discs at the low, low price of only $15 (plus $2.50 for shipping and handling). You can order them safe and online through PayPal... just click the button. Go on, click it!

And thanks for your patronage.
